Hi friends. I make my home in Boulder City, Nevada. This page will list my favorite places and those you may find interesting if passing through. Will be adding as time permits.

First let me provide warning. Boulder City is a small, quiet town and in no way resembles our neighbors in the Vegas valley. Our police are serious about keeping it this way. We are a small town in population but the largest in sq miles in the state. Our bounderies are huge. The speed limits in this town are very strickly inforced and I'd hate to see visiting friends leave town upset by getting a speeding ticket. Please, don't press your luck.

This is where I get my morning dose of Espresso. Yeah, Boulder City also has a Starbucks but I prefer this little drive through box. It's called Boulder Bean and is located in the Red Mountain Plaza. It's the first strip mall coming into town from Las Vegas on the right side of the hwy. They are open 5AM til 4PM Mon-Fri, 5AM til 2PM Sat. & Sun.

If you have a GPS punch in N 35.96862, W 114.85757.
Chuck and Carrie operate this friendly little place, stop in, say hi and get your caffiene fix.

--------------
B.C. has a Vons and Alberstons outside of Old Town but in downtown Old Town we also have the Central Market. It is locate at 1101 Arizona St, a couple of blocks east of Nev. Way/old U.S. 93. GPS, N 35.97803, W 114.83487.

I bring this up for those who are camping down at Lake Mead and perhaps wanting a good piece of meat for the BBQ. Central Market still operates an old fashioned meat market. This may just be the best place to find quality meat in S. Nevada.

------------
Next is the S. Nevada Railroad. This private organization of train buffs has acculultate many old train cars and engines. They've built a neat old fashion RR Depot and provide train rides along part of the old RR that supplied material for the contruction of Boulder/Hoover Dam. Rides are conducted on Sat and Sun at 10:00AM, 11:30AM, 1:00PM, and 2:30PM.

Coming into town from Vegas look for the Taco Bell on the left side of Nevada Way/U.S. 93, corner of Yucca. Turn left on Yucca and go up a little over a block and turn right into the parking lot just before the tracks.
GPS, N 35.97092, W 114.85511.

The ride follows just above U.S. 93 to Railroad Pass, about 5 miles. You get agreat view of the El Dorado valley and dry lake which are all within the city limits of Boulder City.
