Repairing the Tecumseh carb used on the Vector and Millenia series engines is as easy as a snap. Literally!
When old fuel or dirt caused failures exist, the entire bowl assembly can be replaced in just a few minutes. You can buy the entire replacement bowl assembly, from the gasket down, for about 16 bucks and be back mowing your lawn.
The following are the part numbers of the different bowl assemblies available. Find your engine by name and date of manufacture(D.O.M.), write down the number and head on down to your local Tecumseh dealer. Don't be surprised if the counter help is confused, they may not be aware the part is available, it isn't in the regular parts look up and they may have to order it as many shops don't stock them. The distributors have them though so the order and wait period shouldn't be too long.
Keep in mind, problems with the carb means you probably need to drain and clean the fuel tank and may need to replace the fuel line. Don't do half a job by plugging in a new bowl assembly just to have the source of trouble flow right back into the new bowl.
I want to thank Central Distributor Ken Smith for making out this parts list and passing it along.
